Description

A SOLID START FOR BEGINNERS OR ANYONE RETURNING TO PHOTOGRAPHY

Maximum 10 participants + 1 Tutor

You’ll learn what your camera’s different shooting modes do — and when to use them. Starting from scratch, we cover the basics: how your camera works, how lenses differ, and what gear makes up a good photography kit.

From there, we shift into shooting in manual mode — where you take full control. You’ll come away with a clearer understanding of how to balance exposure and get consistent results, shot after shot.

DEVELOP YOUR CREATIVE EYE

This workshop also trains your eye. You’ll learn simple composition techniques, how to use different kinds of light, and how to pre-visualise your images before pressing the shutter.

With expert guidance, you’ll capture creative photos around Sydney’s iconic Harbour Foreshore — from wide landscapes to small details.

This introduction to photography workshop is suitable for any camera with full manual capability including SLR and Mirrorless cameras.

NOT SUITABLE FOR COMPACT CAMERAS WITHOUT FULL MANUAL CAPABILITY.

  1. The class was exceptional! I was able to learn so many basics and techniques, and using them straight away really helped me in getting an understanding of how they function!

  2. Such great value! So much information was covered but done in a way that was understandable for all. I have more confidence and am inspired to get out there and do more with my camera.

  3. Glen was fantastic, very knowledgeable, you can tell he’s very experienced. We went through a lot of information which was great, very informative. With some practice I feel like I finally know how to use my camera!

  4. The 4-hour photography essentials course was such a fun and great-value experience. Daniel taught clearly and patiently, guiding us through each activity with step-by-step instructions and practical advice. I now feel empowered to utilise all the functions of the camera and take my photography to the next level.

  5. Really good 4 hour outdoor workshop for brushing-up on the essentials. (Wear a hat if it’s sunny.)
