Very decent people who were responsive to my needs from booking to the actual teaching.
It was a very useful lesson that was a great help just before departing on my first photographic trip in 21/2 years.

Excellent private lesson with Daniel. We were able to meet outdoors and undertake the lesson in the park very convenient for me. The 2 hours was great to focus in on the basics and get me to understand how to get the most out of my cameras capabilities and unlock my potential as a photographer. I can’t recommend them enough. Definitely book yourself in.

I think I learned more over two hours of tutoring with Daniel than I ever have in a camera class. We were able to target specifically what I wanted to focus on, and with my own specific camera! If you’re new-ish to photography, have a new camera to learn or just want to improve your technique, this is the absolute way to go. You’ll walk out feeling so much more confident in your abilities and you’ll have the skills to take you camera off auto mode.

My lesson with Daniel was very helpful and it allowed me to really get a grasp of photographic concepts such as ISO and Aperture. Even in a small amount of time, his expertise was very enlightening. 10/10 would recommend.

Couldn’t recommend SPW more after my session with them yesterday. After the initial questions about what I was after I got a tailored private session with Daniel who helped break down a lot the theory in photography that I had previously found confusing. After 2hrs I was taking remarkably better photos and importantly could understand why! Looking forward to the next course that I do with the team here – thanks so much

Daniel is an excellent teacher. Before the first session Daniel sent me a list of photographic equipment which I would need for the type of work I was interested in doing. I have had two, two hour sessions with Daniel which involved how to set up my new camera, studio lights and work with Adobe Lightroom Classic. A lot to learn, Daniel was very patience and clearly answered all my questions and explained how to use the new equipment and software program. He also encouraged me to contact him if I was having any problems with the equipment or program.
I highly recommend Daniel, he has exceeded my expectations.

Absolutely brilliant. I had a 2hr session with Daniel to learn how to use/ set up more then 2 speed light and the theory behind it. Listened to what I need, where I was at, my concerns and what equipment I have.
Was quickly able to see where I was at, and what I need to know. The lesson was completely led by me, with a few gentle pushes. I felt completely respected for the skills and experience that I have in photography even though I am only at the begining of my photography journey and miles behind where Daniel is at. I left completely invigorated and passionate about photography again.
I can’t wait to do a few more courses in the next year!!

I cannot speak highly enough of Daniel Linnet. I am an artist with no photography knowledge and had a very specific focus for our two hour workshop in my studio (using my new camera and lighting equipment to document my work). Daniel was exceptional; this talented and gifted artist in his own right was: On time; communicated beforehand; LISTENED to my needs and intuited and anticipated what it was I needed to accomplish them. Daniel is a brilliant teacher, intelligent and witty, he has a rare quality in that he puts the student First instead of himself , he explains things in a patient and clear way. I went from being a complete novice to feeling confident I can now photograph my work as a professional.

Thanks to Fiona for the lesson she gave my granddaughter, Charlotte yesterday.
Fiona was so patient and kind. Charlotte said she explained many things she had been wondering about, and many other finer points of photography as well.
Charlotte thoroughly enjoyed her time with Fiona and is eager to put into practice all that she taught her.

I had a significant problem with my Ligthroom catalogue files and in resolving the matter I found Daniel a very personable individual, which along with being extremely good at explaining Lightroom/Photoshop whether mac or windows, Daniel went to the nth degree to make sure everything was the way it should be. A thoroughly good result and great experience.

Thank you Daniel for such a informative and personally tailored tutorial. You definitely are a master of your craft.

My first tutorial was such an insight into the endless world of photography I now have to look forward to. In two solid hours you guided me through so many aspects to help me start a firm background on which I can explore and discover only limited by my own potential and time.

I look forward to future tutorials so I can unlock the features and options my camera has to offer.

I recommend a Private Tuition by Sydney Photographic Workshops to anyone at any level.

Thank you Wendy for being so informative with Camera Options and links you sent to me before i even made a purchase. Also for getting back to all my calls and emails every time so quickly.

    See you again real soon

I have been on a life-long journey with my camera, with many layers unfolding over the years. I still have so much to discover, both technically and creatively, but there is only so much you can learn on your own. So, I am grateful to have received a wonderful birthday gift of a two-hour session with Daniel Linnet, the head photographer of Sydney Photographic Workshop.
Daniel is a passionate and technically articulate teacher and photographer. Despite going out in the mid-day light during a Sydney heatwave, Daniel gave me one of the most inspiring lessons of my life.
He taught me new approaches to exposure and focus and how to think about what I want to achieve with my shot. He also taught me techniques such as taking multiple exposures.
I have a special interest in graffiti and Daniel shared tips on the correct etiquette for approaching graffiti artists at work.
My experience with Daniel has motivated me to photograph more, every day, and practise and practise.
I know there is still more to learn and I know exactly where I will head to for more photographic knowledge.

Daniel brought the camera to life – providing the technical foundations required to understand how to use the equipment and how these interact with the subject and its environment. Very grateful to have had this lesson.

Invaluable session, not only to consolidate the theory I had learnt, but to see it translated into visual examples. Daniel is a wealth of knowledge and experience but at no time did I feel I couldn’t ask even the simplest of questions. Thanks Daniel, this has given me the confidence to stop doubting myself and get out there and do it!

To have access to someone like Daniel, with his vast experience and expertise, is simply extraordinary. What’s even more extraordinary is his willingness to impart his knowledge in an engaging and accessible manner.

Private tuition was recommended by Wendy when I first made contact and I was a little apprehensive. “It was the right call”! Daniel is outstanding in explaining everything that I wanted to know and more together with being patient. His communication can be at absolutely any level whatsoever, (beginner to advanced) whilst letting you be creative or telling your story. He is very accommodating, experienced and offers everything with enthusiasm, his attention to detail is unbelievable and offers many alternatives to achieve the final outcome that you desire. The benefits from time spent with him are amazing and well worth it, he brought me back to the basics to re-evaluate. I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Daniel and Wendy for a totally professional service, an absolute pleasure to deal with. Thank you!

I didn’t know what to expect, when I got there and when I finished the coarse I couldn’t wait to get the camera and start taking photos, I just loved the coarse, so informative and in a way that was understandable and made sense. I just regret I didn’t do this coarse earlier, in my life. I still cant believe how a 2 hour session has changed how I think about taking a photo and the result I get from taking that photography, I cant thank Daniel enough, it was an awesome experience.

I am so happy Daniel could fit me in tonight. He is amazing! I learned soooo much and my dodgy knee worked to get me around VIVID. He knew all the short cuts through the masses of people🤪 I only wish I had more sessions with him. You two are a great team and when I come back next year. All the best…
    Ps thank you, Daniel

We found the afternoon with Daniel very worth while and informative. There was so much detail packed inside those little cameras and we just have to play and experiment and get used to finding our way around the buttons and facilities. Being from Perth, we would certainly recommend your company to friends who may be coming to Sydney. Thank you again
