This Sydney-based Speedlite Flash Photography Workshop will teach you all the basics to get you started and is filled with practical, real-world techniques that will have you shooting like a pro in no time. The day is ‘hands-on’, and we provide participants plenty of practical shooting time to hone their newfound skills.
Flash photography is a dynamic and captivating technique that revolves around using external flash units, known as speedlites, to enhance the lighting of your photographs. These compact yet powerful tools open up a world of creative possibilities, allowing you to control light in ways natural lighting alone cannot achieve.

About Our Flash Photography Workshop In Sydney
Learn about DSLR flash photography under the talented guidance of Daniel Linnet, AIPP and internationally acclaimed Master Photographer with 20+ years of photographic industry experience.
Spend an inspirational, educational and creative day’s shooting as he introduces you to the exciting world of flash photography with a DSLR or mirrorless camera. Daniel sets up a series of professionally styled sets for you to shoot on the day of your Speedlite Workshop and discusses and demonstrates how and why he makes the decisions. You will gain ‘hands-on’ experience designing and creating professional images.
Utilising 2 different models during the day in different lighting scenarios on different sets, we cover all of the theory and practicals to get you started and plenty of pro tips to take you well beyond the basics and into a pro level.
You will be shooting and trying off and on-camera flash photography almost all day, but most of the day will be spent with off-camera flash photography and moving from single-light setups to multiple flash heads.
NOT SUITABLE FOR COMPACT CAMERAS WITHOUT FULL MANUAL CAPABILITY.

We did yet another Speedlite workshop with Daniel over the weekend. Daniel is always keen to share his knowledge and ensure it is understood. Great models and as always a great shoot. Thank you to Wendy too for a lovely lunch and ensuring everything ran smoothly. We always appreciate the work that is put into these and always enjoy the day. I am sure we will return for more.
