  1. The on-location workshop run by Daniel and Wendy Linnet was nothing short of magical. Every detail had been thought of, from the location, preparation, briefing, crew, transportation, catering… including a special “cheese board” cake for my birthday as it happened to fall on the week we were away. The practical tips were priceless and they curated a wonderful group of passionate photographers – not a single dull or awkward moment. I will be doing more workshops in the future, for sure!

  2. Sydney Photographic Workshop’s Monte Cristo Photographic Retreat is well worth the time, effort and expense. With Daniel’s broad rang of knowledge and expertise he is able to impart to you a unique understanding of the photographic art.
Wendy’s organisational skills are amazing she is able to keep everything flowing, running on time and all needs meet she was loving referred to as Mum by some of the participants as she advised us of the time.
Renee’s makeup skills were amassing and versatile. Renee also ably assisted Wendy in her enormous job. The accommodation, food and location were outstanding with no one wishing for more. All in all a great four days.

  3. I was fortunate enough to be able to attend one of Daniel Linnet’s Sydney Photographic Workshops. I have been shooting for about 10 years and have attended a number of photography courses and events over that time. My main reason for attending was to get better at creating a narrative as well as learning more about how and when to use additional lighting

SPW’s event was absolutely brilliant! The expert tuition from Daniel (and crew) coupled with glorious locations, wonderful models, talented HMU and breathtaking costumes made for an amazing 3 days of jam packed shooting! This is one of the very best, if not the best, event and workshop I have ever attended.

I highly recommend this to photographers of an intermediate or greater level of proficiency. I now plan to attend one of these each and every year.

Thanks to the team (and the other students!) for an absolute top shelf experience. See you again soon!

  4. WOW, huge excitement after attending the “On Assignment – Adelong” briefing session and packing prior to departure.

I was amazed at the diversity of the planned photo shoots ranging from fashion model shoots at Gold Mill and the sugar pine forest, animal shoots at a campdraft, Blueberry Farm Winery, pigs at “Happy Farm” and photographing Ducati motorbike parts.

Daniel – words cannot express the amazing and insprirational opportunity you provided for us. Your passion and enthusiasm are second to none. Your willingness to share your knowledge, expertise and incredible ideas can only come from a man with your exceptional dedication and inspiration.

Wendy was a super host with amazing organisation skills ensuring all aspects of the weekend were organised and keeping the entire team “on track”.

A BIG thank you also to Mark and Chris for driving us around and for being such fantastic assistants.

The whole experience was way above my expectations. A hugh WOW factor and highly recommend it to anyone.

Thank you so much for a most memorable weekend.

  5. To the crazy talented Daniel, Wendy, Chris , Mark and the coolest group of photographers ever!

Thank you all for the most epic photo-shoot weekend of my life! 7 shoots, 3 days of nonstop learning, adventure, gourmet food and friendship.

I have never been so inspired in my life. Because of you I now breathe photography and when I look at my photos my heart jumps a little out of my chest.

Daniel, your vivid imagination and your patience to teach is so magical to those who want to learn. You not only make sure we have the shot and composition but enable us to learn your insider tips to
recreate it for ourselves in the future. To see the world through your eyes must be amazing and after this wonderful weekend, you have enabled me to have a glance of the world as you see it.

Wendy, Your kindness and organisation skills, enabled us to see and photograph so many places. Your eye for detail and creativity also helped us all to see things from a different perspective and get great behind the scenes and natural shots as well. Your warmth in welcoming the group is also phenomenal, rocking up you feel like you have been greeted by your best friend you haven’t seen in ages and you made the whole group feel like we have all been friends for years.

Chris and Mark, thank you for all your hard work and energy setting up shots and helping with equipment. Because you are both talented photographers as well, we had the bonus luxury of having 2 more teachers in our group to learn from. Your patience with the group and your jokes and kindness meant a lot to us all and we could not have done it without you.

And to the amazing friends I made along the way. Thank you. Was lovely that we were able to help each other during the shoots and to all sit down at the end of the night to a lovely delicious meal and a cheeky glass or 2 of wine with friends and talk about our photos was amazing!

Sign me up for all the future shoots! 😉
    Love Mel
